Tanya and Dana ready to make you sweat! 

Dana Sahlin: Dana is an ACE certified personal trainer and ACE certified group fitness instructor and has been teaching for the last 10 years while working at Nike.

It’s all about group support," said Dana. "Group support and accountability. These people get to know each other and support each other. They work out with each other and share their success, no matter how small. It’s great."

"We show people every scenario of working out," Dana said. "We want people to be able to vary their workouts, so they don’t get bored with what they’re doing. Exercise can be lots of fun."

"We keep up to date on the latest happenings in the fitness industry," Dana said. "We want people to lead healthier lives and be able to do the things in life they wanted to do. Functional fitness, that’s what it’s all about."

As mothers, Dana and Tanya know that sometimes it’s hard to fit exercise into a daily routine.



‘It’s fun when you can make a difference in someone’s life, like we’re doing," Dana said. "It’s really rewarding to do. We all enjoy working in this community and feeling as though we’re making it a better place to live – one person at a time."

Tanya McArthur: Tanya earned a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from Texas Christian University and has been a dietitian for 20 years.

"It took me a year and a half to lose weight," said Tanya, a registered dietician and an ACE certified group fitness trainer. "That was years ago, and it’s still a struggle for me. Part of the problem is genetic's, since several family members are overweight. The other part for me was bad eating habits. Also, I didn’t exercise, which is a huge part of a healthy lifestyle."

"Dana and I are so passionate about what we do, we always go above and beyond what most people expect," Tanya said. She noted that they call people who don’t show up for class and are always available for questions and suggestions at anytime.

"You make time to wash the clothes, put gas in the car and prepare lunch for the kids," Tanya said. "You do it without thinking about it. That’s how exercise should be, too. You have to schedule it into your day."

"It’s important for me to see people lose weight and have more control over their lives," Tanya said. "While the program is strict to begin with, once people reach their fitness goals, it doesn’t have to be that intense."
